Wau Wau WOW! Background of our project (why we want to work on this topic) We believe that most of the Malaysian have experienced to played traditional games when they were young. The reason is, it is provides lots of fun and some good memory you will never forget. So, We are going to work on a tradisional game in Malaysia which is wau (our tradisional kite). Target Audience We would be targeting foreign visitors because wau is a game already well-known to the Malaysians. The age group would be 10 and above. Foreign visitors will be able to know and learn more about this tradisional game we have in Malaysia. Scope Wau in Malaysia . Introduction . History . How to make . How to fly Objectives: With the advancement of technology, the appeal for cultural entertainment is slowly diminishing amongst the younger generation. The objective of this site is to encourage and to help the younger generation to understand to value our culture. These games are suitable for all ages and for events like birthday parties, gatherings, reunions and event for family day. Approach and Treatment: The application is going to be very relaxing and entertaining, so we are going to put as much graphics, sounds, videos and animation as we can, instead of using pure texts. We are even going to put in a game to make it more interesting. For the moment, we are going to sacrifice the level of interactivity and details for us to have more time to work on the design and game. We are going to make do with the informations on the internet because we don't have enough time to go out and gather outdoors informations (interviews, photographs, etc). Project genre/category Entertainment Budget We are thinking of making a wau ourselves as a side-product for the Director application. We haven't decide the materials but it should cost less than RM20 because we are going to use some reusable materials like old newspaper and sticks found anywhere on the floor. Besides that, we need to print the proposal and bind it, the cost for the first proposal is RM5.40. The cost for the final proposal should be around that. We might need to buy a CD, print the CD cover later and some other stuffs that should cost us less than RM10. Overall, the total cost won't be exceeding RM50. Team members’ roles 1.
